How is DOCTORA different from a generic AI writing tool?+
Generic tools have no concept of doctoral milestones, no audit trail, and no institutional policy boundary. DOCTORA is assistive, auditable, and governed — every AI-assisted change is tiered and signed in the provenance ledger so committees and examiners can verify what the scholar did versus what the AI suggested.
Who owns the data?+
The scholar and their institution. We are a processor, not a publisher. Content is never used to train external models. Regional data residency is available on the Institution plan.
Can supervisors and committees trust the audit trail?+
The ledger is append-only and cryptographically chained. Every entry records the AI tier used (T1–T5), the prompt, the model, the diff, and the scholar's acceptance — exportable as a signed PDF for viva or examiner review.
